We want to make sure that Wriggly Readers is the best it can be so that it can have maximum impact on your children’s reading progress, which is why we always love hearing feedback to continuously make improvements.
After listening with open ears to what teachers, TAs and children thought, we’re in the process of fine-tuning the programme to make it better than ever before.
We were so happy to hear all the things they love about it and also found it useful to discover that a few things needed tweaking.
So… I’m excited to announce that we will be launching six brand new picture books for each theme in the programme!
This shared reading activity will be a great way to show how print conveys meaning, develop children’s comprehension skills and positively model good phonics techniques to your small intervention group.
Not only that, the books will be much more visual with illustrations to help the children to have a more in depth understanding of the plot, setting and characters of each story.
The books are specifically designed to set the theme at the beginning the session, give the learning a context and send the children off on an exciting mission to solve a problem and learn to read along the way.
I’ll keep you updated with how the books are coming on and show you sneaky peeks of the illustrations very soon. Watch this space!
